About

Reginald A. (Reggie) Rhodes is the founder, President and Managing Attorney of the Alabama Center for Elder Law, LLC.  Mr. Rhodes has been practicing law in Alabama since 1993 and is a well-known trust and estate planning, retirement planning, elder law, real estate and tax attorney.  He has concentrated his estate and financial practice on helping clients arrange their legal and financial matters to avoid mistakes with their assets and money to protect their capital from taxes and nursing home confinement, and increase their income. He has also assisted thousands of individuals with their real estate transactions including purchasing, selling and Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges.  He is well-known and respected for his handling of all probate matters including the administration of decedent’s estates, guardianships, and conservatorships. 

Mr. Rhodes received his B.S. degree from Auburn University in Finance in 1987 and has met all requirements to sit for the CPA exam.  In 1992, Mr. Rhodes received his Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law, graduating in the top 10 in his class.  He later received his Master’s degree in Tax Law (LL.M.) from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2005. He has made numerous presentations on estate planning, retirement planning, probate law, real estate and other topics to other attorney’s, CPAs, financial planners and law students.  He is frequently consulted by other attorneys, CPAs and financial planners regarding these topics.  He has been a frequent speaker at public seminars and has been recognized by the Alabama State Bar for excellence in continuing education.

Mr. Rhodes is a member of the Alabama State Bar and was admitted to practice law before all the Courts in the state of Alabama in 1993.  He was subsequently admitted to the United States District Court in Alabama and the United States Tax Court.  He is a  member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel and WealthCounsel Advisors. He is also an accredited attorney with the Department of Veteran Affairs and is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau.
